Glamour Doll Eyes- Spring 2014

All products were sent for consideration.
I did not purchase any of these products.
A few weeks ago I was sent the Glamour Doll Eyes Spring 2014 collection to swatch. I love doing GDE's swatches, I never know what beautiful colors I'll be receiving.
As always, application was great. It's almost buttery smooth. No patchiness at all.
All eyeshadow is swatched over GDE's Foil Me. Blushes are swatched over bare skin.
Delilah- A bright medium pink with a bit of gold, green and purple sparkle.

Disguise- A medium blue with a pink/purple sheen and a few green sparks.

Evacuate- A bit of a burnt orange color with gold and pink sparkle.

Marquee- A soft orange with green and pink sparkle.

In Memory- A soft green with a strong white/silver sheen.

Pipe Dream- A dark brown/black base with purple sheen along with loads of green and pink sparkle.

Old Money-  A medium yellow with pink and gold sparkle.

Surrogate-  A medium purple with green, gold and pink sparkle.

Reality Check (Blush)- On the left the color is built up, on the right the color is blended. This is a bit of a dark red/cranberry with a hint of blue/pink sparkle.

Start A Rumor (Blush)- On the left the color is built up, on the right the color is blended. This is a medium pink with golden sparkle.

I hardly ever wear blush, but I have to say I may just start wearing Start A Rumor. It's GORGEOUS! I absolutely love Pipe Dream. It's complicated but it works so well together.

Glamour Doll Eyes- Bloggers Collection

All products were sent for consideration.
I did not purchase any of these products.

Hi!

A few weeks ago the lovely Vee of Glamour Doll Eyes sent me tons of product to swatch (not that I have any issue with that!). I never expected to see so many gorgeous colors laid out in front of me. There were colors and finishes for everyone's taste. I was left speechless with some colors!

I loved all of the colors I received. I didn't have any issue with them except for the matte colors, but I believe that was part my own fault. Instead of using primer I used GDE's Foil Me and it made it a bit too tacky so the matte shades stuck instead of blending smoothy. COMPLETELY my fault for being a dummy and not thinking about it until afterwards. Oh well, live and learn. Everything was super pigmented and easy to apply and blend.

All are swatched over GDE's Foil Me.

Calypso- "a deepened teal with purple and gold sparkle. This color was named and inspired by aliciad372."

Going Green- " bright yellow, almost chartreuse with green sparkles and a slight green duochrome. This color was named and inspired by cosmeticcouturier."

June Bug- "a burgundy (more on the purple side) with lots of green sparkle. This color was named and inspired by shannnybannny."

Lexington- "a satin white with green sparkles."

Mackinac- "(pronounced mak-in-aw) is mint sea foam green with red sparkle. This color was named and inspired by jessFACE90."

Morocco- "a dark shimmery brown with gold sparkle. This color was named and inspired by aquaheart."

Nymphette- "a blackened purple blue with purple and blue sparkles. This color was named and inspired by Nymphette."

Obscure- "a matte greyish taupe with purple undertones. This color was named and inspired by prettymaking."

Soul Sisters- "a light tan with purple and blue sparkle. This color was named and inspired by gleamogirljoelle and rusticcomfort."

Southern Lace- " hot pinkish red with silver and red sparkles. This color was named and inspired by luckypiper."

Sparkler- "a rosy pink with silver sparkles. Might shine a bit of orange undertone depending on the light. This color was named and inspired by thatgirlshaexo."

Super Nova- "a matte black with multi-colored shimmers. This color was named and inspired by bowsandcurtseys."

My favorite colors from this collection are Soul Sisters, Nymphette and Super Nova.

A Quick Update!

Hi!

I know, I know. I never got around to posting the last set of Black Rose Mineral swatches but I have good reasoning. I had my little girl on November 23rd! She's the absolute best thing ever (of course I may be biased). I love her so much and I love spending every moment I can with her.

I will be back to blogging soon, promise! I really would like to do some new things on here (still makeup related of course) but I haven't figured it out yet lol. I will eventually make a swatch gallery through Flickr if people would like me to do so. I've been planning to do this for well over a year, but yeah, I'm a bit slow.

I haven't been completely missing though! I have been doing swatches for two bigger (in my mind) indie makeup companies. One of those being Moi Mineral Cosmetics. I had never tried anything from the company before working with the owner, but I will say I am completely impressed with the colors, formula and pigmentation. I had absolutely no issues with the application and of course everything was swatched over LA Splash Eyeshadow Sealer/Base for the swatch photos on Moi's website.

I'll let everyone know when I'm done with the other companies swatches. I'll be announcing/sharing on my Facebook page before my blog, so you can keep an eye out on there if you'd like.

Alrighty, back to work (diaper duty is work, right?).

Black Rose Minerals Swatches- Part 2

Are you getting tired of Black Rose Minerals swatches yet? No? Good! There's 2 other parts to come in the next week or so. :)

All are swatched over LA Splash Eyeshadow Sealer/Base.

Oracle-"A medium brown base with yellowy-green-turquoise flashes."

Shunsui- "Our shade starts with a cherry red and sparkles with pink (the color of his kimono) and aqua sparkles (the color of his fancy hair tie)."

It's Electric-"This super bright hue sparkles and shines. Wear it dry for several varying shades of blue from slightly sheer to more heavy coverage. Wear it wet for a bright metallic blue without losing any of the sparkle."

Yoruichi-" A deep blue black matte base with an overlay of violet shimmer."

Lagrimas- "This beautiful shade of aqua shimmers and shines with warm golden tones and light green highlights."

Wish You Were Here- "A sheer white base loaded with multi-colored sparkles."

Tower of Strength-" A dark red with gold sparkles."

Superstar-"A matte cornflower blue base loaded with blue sparkles."

Crazy On You- " A soft green with a golden glow reminiscent of the moonlight. And a bit of silver sparkles sprinkled throughout."

Total Eclipse of the Heart- "A black base with a pinky orange sheen."

I think my absolute favorite out of the bunch has to be Wish You Were Here. I don't know why, but I totally did not expect the sparkles it would have. It's GORGEOUS! Runners up would be Tower of Strength, Oracle and Yoruichi.

Black Rose Mineral Swatches- Part 1

Hi Everyone!

I made a pretty big sample order from Black Rose Minerals back in June during a sale. I just got them maybe 2 weeks ago since the owner Rosa was going through some personal things then my order was lost through Paypal somehow. Totally not Rosa's fault, but she has excellent customer service and was right on it! After we figured out my order was lost, it was sent out within a few days. Everything I received is amazing! She's also having a birthday sale right now (33% off with the code birthday), so go check it out!

Anyway, on to the swatches!

All are swatched over LA Splash Eyeshadow Sealer/Base.

All Apologies- This is an exclusive (I think?) shade Rosa made for those of us who were waiting for our orders. It's a sort of teal color with golden sparkles.

Panic Switch- A medium yellow with a pink shift.

Pandora- "deep rose with blue and pink glitter."

Peritwinkle-"This slightly sheer borders between baby blue and lavender, A touch of goldish orange duochrome gives the slightest glow when dry. Wear it wet to bring out the metallic tone and make the golden orangish highlight pop even more."

Behemoth- "mid-tone blue with golden sparkles."

Tourniquet- "A metallic gold in a black base and an ever so slight tint of a green highlight gives just a bit of a twist."

Poseidon-"A powerful teal base with a high shimmer finish and turquoise glitter."

These Things- "silvery gray with just a touch of pink shimmer."

Ichigo-"deep black glistens slightly with just a pop of copper sparkles."

Aria- " A sparkling green based teal loaded with silver and aqua sparkles."

I really love all these colors! I think I may need a full size of a few soon!
