Miscellaneous Swatches

Purchased

*Photo Heavy*

Hi all!

I just have some misc. swatches I wanted to post. Some of these companies I have not purchased from  directly before and some I have. Also, some colors may be discontinued, but you could possibly find them on blog sales like I did with these!

If the color is still available to purchase, I will link it in the description of the color. All are swatched over Glamour Doll Eyes Foil Me.

Fyrinnae- Mephisto (old formula)- A royal purple with a red/copper duochrome. This shade IS still available (I think?) but the website is down at the moment.

Geek Chic Cosmetics- We Are Coming- "Rich, velvety milk chocolate gleaming with shifting golden copper highlight, studded with a moderate scattering of ruby and sapphire glitter."
Geek Chic Cosmetics- Katamari King- "a pastel purple with ton's of sparkle in the light."
Geek Chic Cosmetics- Solid Snake- "a black/blue duochrome with tons of blue sparkle."
Black Rose Minerals- Luna- "A sheer ethereal light purple with lots of blue, red and purple shimmer. In certain angles it has a blue sheen."
Persephone Minerals- Mars Crystal Power- A red orange with a gold sheen.

Persephone Minerals- Spirit Realm- "an eerie zombie-like green with a strong violet shift plus gold, green & violet sparkle."
Innocent+Twisted Alchemy- Shooting Stars- A dark blue/navy with gold and orange glitter.
Innocent+Twisted Alchemy- Hidden Present- A army green with pink glitter.
de Leon Cosmetics- Squeaker's Ride- "Deep purple base with a peacock green duochrome."
My Pretty Zombie- Anthrax- Anthrax is part of the Husbandry Affliction Collection- " Purple to Green with a gold to red shift"

Aromaleigh Mineral Cosmetics- Miuccia- "It is a very soft satin buff tone (will probably blend in and disappear on a lot of skintones) and has a strong blue iridescence."
Detrivore Cosmetics- Glacier- A matte periwinkle blue.

Darling Girl Cosmetics- Obviously A Wig- "a shifting magenta that reflects sugary blue in some lights."

Darling Girl Cosmetics- Boy with the Bread- A medium brown with a slight blue shift.

Sorry about teasing you with some colors, but I just wanted to post them in case you have the chance to buy or swap them or if you already have a color but just haven't gotten around to using it.

Darling Girl Cosmetics (Part 4)

Here is the fourth and final part to the random Darling Girl Cosmetics swatches.

Here are some things to keep in mind when reading the shade descriptions (these are taken from the Darling Girl Cosmetics page):

"Spectral Shifts are silky, sheer, iridescent, multipurpose shades that can be used as eye shadow, face highlighters, or depending on your complexion, blush.  Don't let the colors fool you -- the shift makes them very wearable."

"Diamond Dust eye shadows are made with a super-lustrous glitter that shines like, well... diamonds. Pictures cannot do them justice."

Persuasion- "A gorgeous, medium lavender base with gold shift and turquoise sparkles." This shade is a Diamond Dust.

Morbid Angel- "A smokey lilac taupe with just the barest hint of green iridescence." This shade is a Spectral Shift.

Pixi Purple- "A soft wash of red/violet with green duochrome." I personally do not catch any green duochrome, maybe it can be seen in different lights.

Now that I have looked at the website and its swatches of Little Miss Sunshine, I do not believe this is the same color. I have NO idea what color I have but it isn't Little Miss Sunshine. My sample is a gold color also. Any idea of what this color is would be awesome!

Midnight Sea- "A rich, matte, royal purple base with turquoise shift."

Again, I do not think the swatch of Little Miss Sunshine is correct with its name.  I really don't know what color it could be.

Comet- "A stunning, matte wine base with a strong aqua/green shift and pink shimmer." Comet is part of the Darling Deer Christmas Collection.

Dragon's Breath- "A sheer, black base with gold shift and green/gold "diamond dust" glitter."

Jack's Lantern- "A deep black base with a fiery red/orange shift. The combination looks like a blackened purple, especially when foiled." Jack's Lantern is part of the Darling Ghoul Halloween Collection.

That's all of the random swatches I have. I do have the Darling Girl Rainbow Brite Collection so that should be up soon!

Darling Girl Cosmetics Part 3

This is the third part to my Darling Girl Cosmetic swatches. You can find Part 1 here and Part 2 here.

On to the swatches!

High Society- "A pale lilac pink with gold iridescence." This shade is part of the Spring Social Collection.

Dark Heart- "A blackened violet on a metallic burgundy base shot with blue and pink sparkle."

Fire Inside- "A metallic burnt red.  Its richness is heightened by the gold sparkles blazing within." Fire Inside is part of the Only One Can Win collection.

Sushi Flower- "An amazing, iridescent blue/purple with a rainbow of "diamond dust" sparkle. Diamond Dust eye shadows are made with a super-lustrous glitter that shines like, well... diamonds. Pictures cannot do them justice." Sushi Flower is LOADED with lots of multi-colored sparkle.

Exhale- "A pale lavender with with blue/green flash." I see on the website that this shade was reformulated 05/12. I purchased prior to this, but the description still matches and they look very similar with photos I've seen of this shade.

As always, you can purchase these shades and many more from Darling Girl Cosmetics.

Darling Girl Cosmetics Swatches (Part 2)

This is the second part of my Darling Girl Cosmetics Swatches, you can find the first one here.
Also, some shades that are noted are Spectral Shifts and they are described on the website as the following:

"Spectral Shifts are silky, sheer, iridescent, multipurpose shades that can be used as eye shadow, face highlighters, or depending on your complexion, blush.  Don't let the colors fool you -- the shift makes them very wearable."

All are swatched wet unless noted.

Scarecrow is a dark brown color with bit of purple undertones. It has a gold sheen with some copper and gold sparkles.

"Ghost Light (Spectral Shift) is a sheer teal with a touch of green iridescence and a golden shift."

"Tragic Romance is a gorgeous, warm reddish-purple with loads of gold interference."

"Phantom Of The Taupera - Sheer greyish brown with green shift and tiny baby blue sparkles."

Part 3 will be up soon! Keep an eye out for it!

Darling Girl Cosmetics Part 1

I ordered from Darling Girl Cosmetics around the beginning of this year for a birthday treat to myself. I don't want to make this so long since there will be a lot of parts since I ordered around 30 samples back then. So I'll just give you a quick summary of my experience.

My order was pretty big (sample wise) and I received them within TAT, so that was great. I haven't ordered from the new website, but I have navigated it and I love it SO much. The old website was a bit confusing and hard to find what you'd like. Everything was packaged well and my samples came in baggies (which I quickly put into my own jars). All of the colors are unique and the formula is great. Everything applies smoothly and looks amazing! Now on to the swatches!

All are applied wet.

"Jeweled Taupe is an amazing, metallic, bronzey taupe with multi-colored shimmer like tiny little jewels ribboned through it."

"Muddy Waters is a cool, gray-brown (aka taupe) with strong turquoise interference."

"Roots Radicals" was inspired by Rancid and is a light, mint green with gold and pink sparkles."
Roots Radical is part of the Darling Grrl Collection.

"Fireside is an earthy maroon with flashes of silver sparkles."

"Harvest Moon is a slightly blackened golden taupe with bronze afterglow."

My favorites from these swatches have to be Muddy Waters and Roots Radical.

You can purchase these colors and so many more from Darling Girl Cosmetics.
