Aromaleigh Galactic Mission 1 Collection Swatches!

Sent for review

 Hi!

Today I have Aromaleigh's newest permanent collection to show you all! The Galactic collection will consist of two parts: Mission 1 and Mission 2 (set to release in May). These eyeshadows are space-themed duochromes that are visual representations of photos taken by NASA.

These eyeshadows apply like a dream! They are smooth and highly pigmented. I had no issues with patchiness at all when applying these over NYX Eyeshadow Base in Skintone. The shifts are very noticeable and just beautiful! The full sizes of these also come with label art that correlates to each name.

Taken from my Instagram-  https://instagram.com/p/0gkCzAm4Wi/

On to the swatches!

Cassiopeia- "a deep blackened brown base with a strong red duochrome shift."

Orion- "a warm chestnut brown with a strong green duochrome shift."

Striga- "a mossy green with strong blue/teal duochrome effect."

Monoceros- "a vivid pink-violet with a blue duochrome shift."

Carina- "a rich violet with a strong teal duochrome shift."

Oculus- "a regal cool purple with a strong gold duochrome shift."

Aquila- "a vivid teal green with a gold duochrome shift."

Musca- "a rich blue with a strong gold duochrome shift."

Cepheus- "a rich chestnut brown with a strong blue/lilac duochrome shift."

Ophiucus- "a warm violet to gold duochrome, with gold shimmer."

My favorites have to be Monoceros, Carina, Oculus, Aquila Cepheus and Ophiucus. I love the others I didn't list as well, but those are the ones that stand out the most to me. I can't wait to see Mission 2!

You can purchase any of these colors HERE!

Aromaleigh February 2015 and March 2015 Ephemera Swatches

PHOTO HEAVY!

Hi All!

I'm totally behind on posting these, I'm so sorry! Many of you have probably already seen these products from other bloggers or you may have seen them on Aromaleigh's Blog for the round-up posts, so feel free to skip this post if you've already seen these. Or if you'd like to look again, I'm cool with that! :)

I'm just going to give a short little description of the boxes then jump to the swatches.

Up first is February 2015's Ephemera box! This month's box was inspired by the movie "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". I loved the bold and colorful colors of February's box! It was great to see bright colorful colors since I didn't have anything like these already in my collection. The circle swatches will be over NYX Eyeshadow Base in Skintone and the line swatches will be over ELF Glitter Primer.

Meet Me in Montauk (eyeshadow)- "The green of Clementine's hair when she first meets Joel in Montauk, with a smattering of hopeful blue sparkle. Lip, cheek and eye safe."

Remember Me (eyeshadow)- "The coral/orange of Clementine's hair as her love affair with Joel falters, accented by the golden amber glow of dying memories. Lip, cheek and eye safe."

Do I Know You? (eyeshadow)- "Enduring the aftermath of the breakup and memory erasure, Clementine's hair is blue. This shadow is a wintry blue with a lovely copper/rose duochrome shimmer. Finally, she meets Joel again on the train and says, "Do I know you?". Lip, cheek and eye safe."

Blessed are the Forgetful (rouge)- "The vivid warm red of Clementine's hair when she and Joel are happily in love, with a soft coppery glow of emotional states yet to come. Lip, cheek and eye safe." This is built up over bare skin.

February's box featured a sample fragrence from Alchimia Apothecary. I got the sample Love Drops which automatically sends me back to childhood to the Disney Perfume Princess Dolls I had. Obviously it's not an exact scent from them, but it has hints of some of those perfumes I had as a child. Loved them! The first notes I pick up are roses, but not a gross overwhelming fake rose scent, more of a subtle rose smell. I also get the bamboo and a hint of mandarin. It sort of mellows out into a soapy sort of scent? It's not bad. I enjoy it! The official description from Alchimia Apothecary's website is "Pink lotus and hawthorn roses burst with the brightness of Mandarin oranges and fresh green bamboo. Transparent hints of amber work to ground this blend.". It's definitely one of those scents I'll put on for nostalgic purposes.

February's box also featured a sneak peek for March's box and a sample of Origami Unicorn from the Blade Runner inspired collection.

MARCH 2015 EPHEMERA

March's box was inspired by Norse mythology. I don't know much at all about Norse mythology, but it was interesting to read about these with the box's insert. The colors were more subtle for this month, but were still absolutely beautiful! All are swatched over NYX Eyeshadow Base in Skintone.

Ragnarok (eyeshadow)- "Ragnarok is the Norse end of days, a prophecy depicting the demise of the Gods, the destruction of the earth, and the renewel of mankind after a deludge. A deep, warm reddish brown with gold/green interference shimmer. Vegan, eye use only." This color was the hint in last month's box.

Valhalla (eyeshadow)- "Valhalla is the "hall of the slain", a majestic hall located in Asgard, where Odin houses his chosen fallen warriors. A soft pale weathered gold with strong blue interference sparkle. Vegan, eye use only."

Yggdrasil (eyeshadow)- "Yggdrasil is an immense tree that is central in Norse cosmology, in connection to which the nine Norse worlds exist. A midtone heathered green with copper interference shimmer. Vegan, eye use only."

Valkyrie (rouge)- "Valkyries were the choosers of the slain. They hovered over battlefields and decided warrior's fates, ushering the fallen to Valhalla or Folkvangr. An easy-wear, soft warm rose shade. Your cheeks but better. Vegan. Lip, cheek and eye safe."

March's box featured a sample of Sheer Lip Glaze in Daydream from Kiss My Sass Cosmetics. This is swatched over bare skin.

March's box also featured a sneak peek of an eyeshadow for next month's box and a sample of Carina from the "Galactic" collection. The first swatch is next month's sneak peek, the second swatch is of Carina. Both are over NYX Eyeshadow Base in Skintone.

WHEW! I think that's everything! I love Aromaleigh subs! It seems like each month the boxes get better and better!

Aromaleigh's More Human than Human Collection

Sent for review

Hi Everyone!

Today I have Aromaleigh's newest collection called More Human than Human. This collection is based off of the book “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” by Philip K. Dick and the classic sci-fi movie "Blade Runner". To be honest, I have not read the book or seen the film, but I would like to! The colors are inspired from scenes and quotes from the book and movie.

The first set of swatches for each color are swatched over NYX Eyeshadow Base in Skin Tone. The second set of swatches are over NYX Jumbo Pencil in Black Bean.

Accelerated Decrepitude- "A smoky moss green base with vivid bright green and gold iridescent sparks."

Pleasure Model- "In the jar, this appears to be a soft peachy pink with pink shimmer. Apply over a cream base or foiled? And you get a vivid bright rose duochrome that flashes back to the peach base in the light."

She Won't Live- "a cool red with a vivid fuchsia/aqua interference."

Like Tears in Rain- "A muted teal base with copious amounts of rose-copper-gold iridescent sparks."

More Human than Human- "A smooth, metallic mahogany sheen with vibrant vivid gold/copper sparks that flash chartreuse in certain angles."

Prodigal Son- "A smooth, glowing yellow-gold with gold and copper shimmer."

Replicant- "A deep smooth pewter grey with intense color shifting fuchsia/aqua iridescent sparks."

Origami Unicorn- "A pale silvery wisp with a strong copper to rose iridescent shimmer."

Blush Response- "A dusty mauve base with bright indigo and gold iridescent sparks."

Incept Date- "A rich metallic copper sheen with vivid teal and blue iridescent sparks."

Here's a bonus look I did with a few of the colors:

I used:- Prodigal Son in the inner corner
- More Human than Human in the center
- Accelerated Decrepitude in the outer corner, crease and as lower lash liner
-NYX Eyeshadow Base in Skin Tone
- Elf liquid eyeliner
-Makeup Forever Mascara

This is one of my favorite collections so far! Every color is so unique and applies like a dream! These colors really pop over a black base. I'd love to foil them as well to see how they turn out. I can't pick a favorite because I honestly love them all in their own way! You can pick up this collection HERE!
